JGE gardens are unusual in two ways. First, the original landscape brief leaned heavily on golf-course-aesthetic species: fine-blade lawn, manicured hedges, mature palms, and accent flowering trees. Lawn quality is therefore the headline, and any browning is visible from neighbouring fairways. Second, plots back directly onto Earth Course or Fire Course roughs in many sub-communities, which means cross-contamination from course pesticides, irrigation overspray, and the occasional stray ball into bedding plants is a real consideration. Soil is engineered sandy fill of varying depth depending on whether the villa sits on a former dune or a re-profiled bunker line.

We maintain JGE villas on a weekly cadence year-round, with two visits per week through July and August. Common starter projects include lawn renovation to championship standard (core aeration, top-dressing, premium overseeding), specimen palm health audits, and irrigation rebuilds. Many of the original drip systems are now 8-10 years old and underperforming on the larger Whispering Pines and Redwood Park plots. The JGE Clubhouse and the entrance avenue are highly photographed, so frontage standards in the villas closest to those landmarks tend to get particular attention from the HOA.
