About this plant
Foxtail Palm has a smooth, grey trunk and a crown of long, arching fronds with leaflets that radiate around the stem, giving a bushy, tail-like look. It is listed at 2.5 m and 3.5 m, so it is a large feature plant for a villa garden, courtyard or entrance. Plant it in full sun or light shade, in well-drained soil. While it settles in, water regularly and keep the root ball moist, not soggy. In Dubai summer a young palm may need watering several times a week, and in winter about once a week or less. In time it grows tall, so check space above and around it. Remove only fully brown fronds.
