About this plant
Prayer Plant (Maranta) is a low-growing plant with broad, patterned leaves that fold upward in the evening and open again in the morning. This listing is a compact 30 cm plant, so it suits a desk, shelf or side table. Give it bright, indirect light and keep it out of direct sun. The soil should stay lightly moist, so check it every few days in summer, when air conditioning dries the air and the pot quickly. In winter, water a little less often. It likes humidity, so keep it away from vents and cold drafts. Brown leaf tips usually mean dry air or minerals in the water, and trimming them off does no harm.
