Decorative pebbles and gravel are the unsung heroes of UAE landscaping. A five-minute top-dressing transforms a tired pot or garden bed into something showroom-ready. Our range covers everything you'll actually use across a Dubai home or villa. Top-dressing pebbles (small white, black, brown or mixed) cap potted plants, hide soil, slow evaporation and add finished styling. Larger river pebbles and rounded smooth stones work as decorative mulch around villa garden beds, dropping soil temperature and reducing irrigation needs. Sharper-edged crushed gravel is the right pick for pathways, parking strips, side returns and any surface that needs to compact and stay put underfoot. White marble chip is popular for water-feature surrounds and Mediterranean-style gardens; black volcanic and basalt pebbles suit modern minimalist landscaping. We also stock practical-grade gravel for AC condenser unit pads, drainage layers and rooftop landscaping ballast. Colour choices include classic white, charcoal black, warm beige, terracotta brown and mixed natural. Sizes run from 8–16 mm fine top-dressing through to 60–80 mm chunky river stones. Quantity is calculated by the bag: a rough rule is 25–35 kg of pebbles per square metre at 4–5 cm depth. Need a custom mix or a colour we don't list? WhatsApp us, we can blend to spec for larger jobs.
Pebble installations look good for years if you prep correctly. Always start with a clean, weed-free substrate. For garden beds and pathways, lay a quality weed-control fabric (geotextile membrane) before spreading pebbles. It stops weeds growing through and stops the pebbles sinking into the soil over time. Skip the fabric step and you'll be picking weeds out of decorative pebbles within a season. For pots, no fabric is needed: just spread a 2–3 cm layer of top-dressing over the soil after planting. Top up every 12–18 months as some pebbles work into the soil or get displaced by watering. For UV fade: white marble and natural stone hold colour indefinitely; lower-grade dyed or ceramic-coated pebbles can fade noticeably within 2–3 years of direct sun exposure. If colour permanence matters for your project (an entrance feature, a brand-led landscape), choose natural-coloured stone over coated. Quantity rule of thumb: 25–35 kg per square metre at standard 4–5 cm depth, doubling for chunky 60–80 mm river stones laid deeper. For pots, one 5 kg bag tops 4–6 medium pots. Keep heavier pebbles off rooftops where structural loading limits matter. Check with your building before adding more than a thin layer of decorative gravel to a roof terrace. WhatsApp us your square metre coverage and we'll calculate the exact bag count.
