Indoor plants are the fastest way to soften a Dubai apartment, villa, or office. The right choice survives both AC and the long Gulf summer with minimal fuss. Our indoor range is curated specifically for UAE interiors: spaces that are dry from constant air conditioning, often shaded behind tinted glass, and rarely sit below 22°C even in winter. We stock low-light hardy varieties such as snake plant (Sansevieria), ZZ plant and pothos that tolerate north-facing apartments and shaded corners; medium-light favourites like philodendron, dracaena, monstera deliciosa and peace lily for living rooms with diffused daylight; and statement pieces such as the fiddle leaf fig, bird of paradise and large monstera adansonii for bright, glass-fronted villas. Calathea, alocasia and ferns are available for those who want a little more humidity-loving drama, with care notes on how to make them thrive in dry Dubai air. Every plant is conditioned to indoor UAE conditions before it ships, so what you receive is already used to AC and lower light. No shock-and-drop two days after arrival. We also pair every order with the right pot size, drainage advice and a printed care card. Whether you're greening a one-bed in JVC, a Downtown office, or a full villa in Arabian Ranches, the indoor range is built to look great and stay alive.
Watering is the single most common reason a Dubai indoor plant dies, and the answer is almost always 'less than you think'. Air-conditioned interiors slow evaporation from soil, so most popular indoor plants (snake, ZZ, pothos, philodendron, monstera) want a thorough soak only when the top 2–3 cm of soil is dry to the touch. That usually means once every 7–14 days indoors, not the daily splash many new owners default to. Light placement matters as much as water: south- and west-facing windows are bright enough for fiddle leaf, monstera and bird of paradise, while north-facing rooms suit snake plant, ZZ, pothos and peace lily. Avoid placing plants directly under an AC vent: the constant cold draught dries leaves and triggers brown tips. Repot once every 18–24 months or when roots circle the pot, ideally between October and March when growth restarts. Watch for fungus gnats (a sign of overwatering; let soil dry fully and use a sticky trap) and mealybugs (white cottony spots; wipe leaves with a 50/50 water-isopropyl mix). In peak summer (June–August) plants slow down: reduce feeding to once a month and ease off water by roughly 25%. In the cooler October-to-March cycle, gently increase both.
