Red River Pebbles are rounded, reddish-brown decorative stones sold in 20 Kg bags, at about 5 cm in size. Use them as a top layer in large pots, as a cover in garden beds, around a water feature, or for a dry riverbed look along a border or path. At this size they stay put under foot traffic and do not scatter as easily as small gravel. A layer of about 5 cm covers soil well. Rinse them with a hose before laying to remove dust, and lay them over landscape fabric to keep weeds down. The warm colour suits sandy tones, terracotta and desert-style planting.
